A spectacular event across three host countries ready for the 20th IHF Men’s World Handball Championship

May 29, 2024Alongside Croatia and Denamrk, Norway will host the 29th IHF Men’s World Handball Championship. Known for its stunning natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and passionate sports community, Norway offers an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
While the final will be played on 2nd of February in the Telenor Arena which can hold 15K fans which will come from all over the world. We are expecting great players, scores and results this year. Fans will come from all over the world to cheer for their teams. This is the first time in history that Norway is hosting a World championship.
“We are really looking forward to hosting the World Championship on Norwegian soil, with the final weekend as the icing of the cake. This will be the first World Championship gold medal match in Norway since the women’s tournament in 1999, and it will be a great honor to welcome the world’s best handball players to Fornebu. The preparations are well under way, but there is still a lot of work to be done. Together with our hard-working colleagues in all three host countries, and the hundreds of volunteers who will make it possible to stage the championship, we are excited to welcome the rest of the world to Norway and Telenor Arena”, project manager Kia Haftorn Otnes says.
There is no doubt Norwegian player will make their best on the court to rich the highest level of the competition, as well as the Organization, to make this event a real spectacle.
